Minutes of the Project Monitoring Committee Meeting held on 10th March 2010 in Áras an Chontae, Castlebar, at 11.00am.

1. Minutes
The Minutes of the Project Monitoring Committee Meeting held on 20th January 2010, and which were already circulated, were agreed, having been proposed by Mr. Hynes and seconded by Mr. Tallott.
2. Matters arising
There were no matters raised.
3. Water Quality – Carrowmore Lake
Mr. Walsh informed the meeting that Mayo County Council’s Project Team has continued to monitor the surface waters in and around the Bellanaboy site and indicated that the discharge of surface water from the Terminal Site has had no adverse impact on the quality of drinking water in the area.

4. Updates:
§ Roadworks/Transportation
Mr. Walsh informed the meeting that there are no works being undertaken at present.
§ Bord na Móna
The report on the Srahmore Peat Repository setting out the up to date position and indicating that the site is compliant, was noted. A copy of this report is available on www.mayococo.ie
5. Update on Terminal
Mr. Butler outlined details of works undertaken and the outlook from March 2010 onwards on the Bellanaboy Bridge Site, as set out in report circulated – copy of which is available on www.mayococo.ie Mr. Butler indicated that work on the site is now 90% complete with preparation being made for the introduction of gas backfeed from the BGE network.
6. Environmental Issues
Mr. Doyle outlined to the meeting the position regarding environmental issues on site, as set out in report circulated, and indicated that no complaints were received or no incidences occurred since the last meeting of the PMC. A copy of the report is available on www.mayococo.ie
Mr. Walsh also updated the meeting, similarly to Mr. Doyle, on environmental issues as set out in report circulated on the Corrib Gas Development – copy available on www.mayococo.ie
7. Local Issues
There were no issues raised.
8. Any other business
Mr. Beirne informed the meeting that the Members of Mayo County Council had agreed to accept an invitation from SEPIL to visit the development at Bellanaboy and that arrangements would be made in due course.

It was agreed to hold the next meeting of the PMC on 12th May 2010 at 11.00am in Castlebar.
This concluded the business of the meeting.
