Lyme Disease Poster and Leaflet

Lyme disease (caused by the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi)is spread by the bite of a tick. Ramblers, campers, mountainbikers, and people who work and walk in forested/grassy areas are at greatest risk of being bitten. The first symptom of Lyme disease is often a rash that can appear 3 to 30 days after the tick bite. Most cases are mild but occasionally a severe form can develop with heart and nervous system involvement.

Proposed Amendments to Traveller Accomodation Plan 2009-2013

Pursuant to Section 9 of the Housing (Traveller Accommodation) Act, 1998, Mayo County Council gives notice that it proposes to replace the Traveller Accommodation Plan 2005 – 2008, which was adopted on 11th April, 2005.
The proposed Draft Plan 2009 – 2013 will be available for public inspection from 18th November, 2008 to 13th January, 2009.

Bye-Laws for the Presentation and Storage of Household and Municipal Waste
