CLAREMORRIS
LOCAL AREA PLAN 2006

Notice is
hereby given in accordance with section 34(6) of the Planning and Development
Act, 2000 that Mayo County Council intends to consider deciding to grant a permission
for a development consisting of a change of use of six light industrial
units in Block A (previously granted permission under P06/1079), into a
multi-screen cinema complex, together with ancillary works at Lugatemple,
Claremorris. (Planning Ref. P09/255).
The
development would contravene materially the land use zoning objectives of the Claremorris
Local Area Plan 2006. The lands subject of this application are zoned
Industrial in the Claremorris Local Area Plan 2006, and cinemas or cultural/recreational
uses are not included in the list of land uses generally permitted under this
zoning.
Particulars
of the development may be inspected at The Planning Office, Mayo County Council,
Aras An Chontae, The Mall, Castlebar, Co. Mayo during public opening hours.
Any
submission or observation as regards the making of a decision to grant
permission, received not later than 9th
June 2009 will be duly considered by Mayo County Council.
