Notice of selection process for Community Representation on the Project Monitoring Committee for the Corrib Gas Project in accordance with the An Bord Pleanála Decision 16.GA0004
Condition 14 of the An Bord Pleanála Decision 16.GA0004 requires the establishment of a Project Monitoring Committee (PMC) prior to the commencement of development. The PMC is required to extend an invitation to four representatives of the local community from Kilcommon Parish to serve on the Committee in accordance with procedures determined by Mayo County Council.
The four community representatives shall be selected through the Community Forum selection process for community representation. This process shall be facilitated by Mayo County Council’s Community & Integrated Development Directorate.
All community groups in the Kilcommon Parish area that are currently registered with Mayo County Community Forum and any existing un-registered community groups that register by Thursday 3rd March 2011 will be eligible to participate in the selection process.
All groups registered on Thursday 3rd March will be sent nomination papers and will be invited to nominate one candidate before 4pm on Tuesday 15th March. A ballot paper will then be issued to each eligible community group and must be returned by post to reach the Returning Officer, John Coll, Director of Community & Integrated Development by Tuesday 29th March 2011.
