There will be a fundamental change to the current LAQuotes system for 2012.
LAQuotes.ie is requesting Suppliers/Contractors to express their interest in a number of commodities for all Local Authorities excluding Dublin City Council. The Plant Hire and Haulage, Road Making Materials, Road Markings, Ready-mix and Concrete Additives and Water Treatment and Chemicals commodities are changing from a quotation system to a tendering system (multi-framework agreement). If a Supplier/Contractor is interested in tendering for any of these commodities they will need to adhere to the relevant timeframes, failure to do so will mean elimination for the duration of the contract. In other words there will be no opportunity to participate after the closing dates. All details have to be submitted online. Suppliers/Contractors should only select those Local Authorities that they can supply.

All tenders listed in the table above have been published as a contract notice on the Irish Government Portal, www.etenders.gov.ie and in the Official Journal of the European Union. Instruction To Tenderers and the Framework Agreement for each of these five tenders can also be found on www.LAQuotes.ie under the ‘Forms’ tab. These documents should be read in full before completing the online information at www.LAQuotes.ie. No pricing will be captured online at the tendering stage. Prices will be sought at mini-competition stage when the work is required and it is envisaged that there will be a number of mini-competitions held throughout the life time of the frameworks.
Suppliers/Contractors can express their interest in all other commodities at any stage throughout the year, which can be accessed by selecting the ‘Supplies, Services and Tool Hire’ option. As requirements arise within Local Authorities and are below the threshold, Local Authorities will seek quotations for these commodities (excluding the five framework commodities).
Please ensure that all required supporting documentation as listed in Checklist is sent by post to: Procurement Section, Kerry County Council, County Buildings, Rathass, Tralee, Co. Kerry, as part of your completed tender on or before the relevant deadline. Details of supporting documentation required can be found on www.LAQuotes.ie under ‘Checklist’. Please do not send supporting documentation to the specific Local Authorities, this information is being collated centrally and one copy is sufficient. Suppliers/Contractors are requested to write the ‘Record ID’ on all supporting documentation if applicable. If you are required to provide a copy of the ‘Certificate in Respect of Lifting Plant/Equipment’ (GA1 form) or equivalent, please write the registration number or serial number on the form. The online checklist lists all documents that are required and only the information requested here should be sent.
All Suppliers/Contractors require a username and password to access the online forms at www.LAQuotes.ie; the following login details are specific to you.
Please contact one of the participating Local Authorities should you have any queries, contact details for all Local Authorities can be found at www.LAQuotes.ie.
