Planning and Development Acts 2000-2010 & Planning and Development Regulations 2001-2011 Proposed Amendment to the following Local Area Plans: Ballinrobe 2010- 2015, Ballyhaunis 2010- 2015, Kiltimagh 2010- 2015, Swinford 2009- 2014
Pursuant to Section 20 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 as amended, Mayo County Council hereby gives notice that it proposes to amend the above Local Area Plans.
The proposed amendment is intended to bring the Local Area Plans in line with the requirements of the Core Strategies of the County Development Plan 2008-2014.
Following screening and consultation with prescribed environmental authorities, it has determined that the proposed amendments to the above Local Area Plans is not likely to have significant effects on the environment. Therefore, Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) is not required.
Appropriate Assessment Screening has also been carried out on the proposed amendment.
A copy of the Proposed Amendments to the above Local Area Plans, the SEA Determination Decision and Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA) may be inspected from Friday 27th April 2012 to Monday 11th June 2012 inclusive, (excluding Public Holidays) during normal opening hours of the offices concerned at the following locations:
Ballinrobe LAP
- Ballinrobe Area Office,Shrule Road, Ballinrobe.
Ballyhaunis LAP
- Ballyhaunis Branch Library,Clare Street, Ballyhaunis.
Kiltimagh LAP
- Kiltimagh Branch Library, Main Street, Kiltimagh.
- Swinford Area Office,Station Road, Swinford.
Swinford LAP
- Swinford Area Office,Station Road, Swinford.
- Swinford Branch Library
All of the above Local Area Plans can also be viewed at Mayo County Council, Planning Section,Arasan Chontae, The Mall, Castlebar and the documents are available to download from Mayo County Council's website www.mayococo.ie
Submissions or observations in respect of the Proposed Amendments to any of the above Plans made to the Planning Authority within the period specified above will be taken into consideration in deciding upon the proposal.
Children, or groups or associations representing the interests of children are entitled to make submissions or observations and any such submissions or observations received will also be taken into consideration in deciding upon the proposed amendment.
All submissions or observations should be made in writing and clearly marked “Proposed Amendment to (State Plan Name)”.
