Subsidised Compost Bin Scheme
Mayo County Council wishes to inform householders of the details of their home composting scheme.
Compost bins are available for the reduced cost of €25. Each compost bin comes with a free kitchen caddy and information booklet.
Compost bins can be purchased and collected at the following locations:
- Aras an Chontae, The Mall, Castlebar ( Collection Point Moneen Depot )
- Ballinrobe Area Office,
- Ballina Civic Offices,
- Belmullet Area Office,
- Claremorris Area Office,
- Derrinumera Landfill Site,
- Newport Area Office,
- Swinford Area Office,
- Rathroeen Landfill Site,
- Westport Civic Offices,
Compost bins are available free of charge to all primary and secondary schools. A limit of one bin per school applies.
