Draft Renewable Energy Strategy for County Mayo 2010 - 2020 Public Notice

Mayo County Council has prepared a draft Renewable Energy Strategy for County Mayo. The purpose of the draft Strategy is to guide renewable energy developments in the County for the period 2011 to 2020. The draft Strategy is accompanied by a Strategic Environmental Assessment Environmental Report and Habitats Directive Assessment. Renewable Energy Strategy - Call for Submissions

As a first step in the preparation of the Council’s Renewable Energy Strategy, Mayo County Council has prepared a Discussion Paper on Renewable Energy.
It is intended that the Renewable Energy Strategy will be seen as a model of good planning and management practice, enhancing the development of renewable energy both in the County and further afield.
Closing date for submissions is Monday 19th April 2010.
