Proposed Variation No. 2 of Castlebar Town and Environs Plan 2008-2014

The reason for the propsoed variation to the Castlebar Town and Environs Plan is to incorporate a Core Strategy into the Plan, together with consequential and other changes arising from incorporation of the Core Strategy, including amendments to the existing Settlement Strategy, as required by the Planning and Development Acts 2000-2010. The purpose of the Core Strategy is to ensure that the Castlebar Town and Environs Plan and objectives are consistant with national and regional development objectives as set out in the National Spatial Strategy and Regional Planning Guidelines for the West Region 2010-2022. This is accompanied by supporting documents relating to Strategic Environmental Assessment, Habitats Directive Assessment and Flood Risk Assessment.

Modification to proposed Variation of the Westport Town and Environs Development Plan 2011-2016

Westport Town Council and Mayo County Council propose to make modifications to the proposed variation of the Westport Town & Environs Development Plan 2010-2016. The proposed modifications require a Strategic Environmental assessment and Appropriate Assessment. The planning authorities invite you to make a submission/observation on the proposed modifications and details of how to make a written submission are set out in the attached notice below. Written submissions/observations shall be made to the planning authorities by 5pm on September 16th 2011. All written submissions/observations made will be taken into account by the planning authorities before making a variation to the development plan.

Mayo County Council and Westport Town Council propose to vary the Westport Town & Environs Development Plan 2010-2016

Details of the proposed variation in context of the existing plan are set out in the document entitled Proposed Variation to the Westport Development Plan May 2011. The need for environmental/appropriate/flood risk assessments are set out in the other documents, along with a public notice on the proposed variation. The Councils invite written submissions/observations to the proposed variation to be submitted to Ann Moore, Town Clerk, Westport Civic Offices, Altamont Street, Westport, Co. Mayo or e-mailed to dkeane@mayococo.ie by 22nd June 2011, not later than 5pm.

Proposed Variation No. 2 of the Mayo County Development Plan 2008-2014

PROPOSED VARIATION NO. 2 OF MAYO COUNTY DEVELOPMENT PLAN 2008 –2014 The reason for the proposed variation is to incorporate a Core Strategy into the Plan as required under the Planning and Development (Amendment) Act 2010. The purpose of the Core Strategy is to set out an evidenced based strategy for the spatial development of the County and to show that the development objectives in the Development Plan are consistent, as far as practicable, with national and regional development objectives in the National Spatial Strategy and the Regional Planning Guidelines for the West Region 2010 – 2022.
