Draft Ballinrobe and Ballyhaunis Local Area Plans


Draft Local Area Plans for the following towns:

 Ballyhaunis and Ballinrobe.

Planning and Development Acts 2000-2007

Mayo County Council proposes to make a Local Area Plan for the town of Ballyhaunis and a Local Area Plan for the town of Ballinrobe in accordance with the provisions of Section 20 of the Planning and Development Acts 2000 as amended. The Draft Plans were subject to Strategic Environmental Assessment Screening and Appropriate Assessment Screening and it has been determined that an Environmental Report or Appropriate Assessment is not required for either of the proposed Plans.

A copy of the Draft Plan and SEA screening decision in respect of each town is available for public inspection from 28th July 2009, to 9th September, 2009 during normal office hours at the following locations:

Ballinrobe

Submission or observations in respect of the Draft Local Area Plans which are made to the planning authority during the inspection period specified above will be taken into consideration before the making of the Local Area Plans.

All submissions or observations should be made in writing, clearly marked ‘Ballyhaunis Draft Local Area Plan’ or ‘Ballinrobe Draft Local Area Plan,’ as appropriate and forwarded to:
