Mayo Day 2018 - Made of Mayo

Mayo artists are invited to submit artworks to be included in an exhibition which will be the major focal point of this year's Mayo Day celebrations. Mayo Day 2018 is happening over the May Bank Holiday weekend, on 5th – 6th May.

As always Mayo Day is an opportunity to celebrate ‘Mayoness’ and take pride in that special corner of the world that so many County Mayo natives are so proud of.

A high profile event will be staged at Ballinrobe Racecourse on 5th May open to the public and showcasing the very best of Mayo creative talent.

We are seeking submissions from professional practicing visual artists based in or from County Mayo.

The selection will be made by Patrick T. Murphy RHA Director.

Work can be in any format. A maximum of three pieces will be accepted.

All artists selected to exhibit will be paid an exhibition fee of €50

There will be further paid opportunities for artists who would like to be present at the opening events to talk informally about the work to the public.

Work can be labelled as available for sale and no commission will be taken

All work must be delivered to the chamber at Ballinrobe County Council Buildings, Kilmaine Road, Ballinrobe on Monday 9th April between 10am- 4pm with a completed Application form. The application form is available to download here: Mayo Day 2018 Artist Application Form

Works that are not selected for the exhibition have to be collected on Monday 16th April before 4pm.
