Mayo Arts Service Bealtaine 2018 Programme

Taking place in the month of May, Bealtaine is Ireland’s national festival which uniquely celebrates the arts and creativity as we age. The festival is run by Age & Opportunity, the national organisation that promotes active and engaged living as we get older.  Be Our Guest is the festival theme for 2018, exploring hospitality, hosting and welcoming. This is apt for County Mayo as the festival relies on the hospitality of organisations, art venues and community groups who are hosting arts events in a welcoming space. Mayo Arts Service has programmed several events and projects in partnership with community groups and arts venues. In the brochure there is a full listing of these along with other arts activities taking place in Mayo for Bealtaine 2018.

Mayo Arts Service, Mayo County Council is delighted to launch its Bealtaine Programme 2018 alongside the opening of the Hearth Exhibition in the Linenhall Art Centre on the 1st May at 2.30pm.
