On Sight 2020: Invitation for Project Proposals

On Sight is an annual arts project that takes place at the National Museum of Ireland – Country Life.  On Sight is funded by the National Museum of Ireland – Country Life and Mayo County Council’s Arts Service in partnership with the Arts Council with support from Mayo Artsquad. The purpose of the project is to have artist/s or artistic companies create work in a site-specific location and to encourage visitors to explore the themes of the Museum through these art works.

The museum setting offers a wealth of opportunities, both through its collections and wonderful gardens and grounds, for artistic intervention, interpretation and celebration.

Over the 11 years of the project there has been a strong engagement and participator focus achieved through collaboration with Mayo Artsquad and with local community groups made up of arts and disability groups, intercultural groups, active retirement groups, youth groups, museum visitors, etc.

Interested artist/s or artistic companies are now invited to submit applications for On Sight 2020.

Full details can be viewed by downloading the On Sight 2020 project brief.
