Introduction to Print Making takes place over two Saturdays: 14th and 21st November, from 12.00pm - 4.00pm, with a short break around 2.00pm. Cost for the two sessions is €50 per person. Places are limited, and booking is essential.

Drawing as a Contemporary Medium with Betty Gannon

Four Wednesdays from 4.30pm-5.30pm, commencing 18th November

A drawing workshop which over 4 sessions explores the medium of graphite, and the different ways it is applied to paper. Using pencils ranging from 5H to 9B, where a 5H produces light, faint marks, and 9B produces black lustrous marks, and by combining these with vigorous, chaotic, ordered or delicate drawing techniques, an infinate array of possibilities can be achieved. This palette of possibilities can then be used to inform future drawings, or can be combined with other materials. (Leaving Cert art students may find this workshop particularly useful in portfolio preparation.)

Betty Gannon is an artist whose recent practice is based in the medium of drawing. A graduate of GMIT in Fine Art, she has been represented at national open shows including COE and the RDS Student Awards, and recently had her first solo exhibition of drawings at the Linenhall Arts Centre.

CONTEMPORARY DRAWING WORKSHOP for 15-19yrs takes place over four Wednesdays: Nov 18th, Nov 25th, Dec 2nd, Dec 9th, from 4.30pm-5.30pm. Cost for the four sessions is €35 per person. Places are limited, and booking is essential.
