Take your seat for the fashion event of the year. See the work of fifteen new designers from the Castlebar area, in a show-stopping catwalk extravaganza. The featured designers have worked with Castlebar’s Charity Retailers and three textile artists over six weeks at the Linenhall, to upstyle and re-fashion fifteen outfits that will receive their first public viewing at this fantastic event. Not only that, but the creators will model the outfits themselves, having taken part in gruelling deportment training in the lead up to the show! Other fashion highlights include a showcase of clothes on sale in a selection of Castlebar’s Charity Retail Outlets.
Guaranteed to be a fun-filled event, this show marks the climax of an exciting project at the Linenhall Arts Centre designed to highlight the European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion 2010. We all have a role to play in combating poverty and social exclusion. What’s yours?
