Leitrim Sculpture Centre Seeks Health & Safety Co-ordinator
Main Responsibilities:

1. Health and Safety Officer.
2. Artists' Support and advice.
3. Plant operator in our range of hot processes.
4. Maintenance of buildings and equipment.
5. Exhibition installation support in the LSC Gallery.
6. Caretaking duties for common areas.

Essential Requirements:

· Hold a recognized Health & Safety Certificate.
· Minimum two years experience in building maintenance.
· Minimum two years artists' support and/or gallery work.
· Minimum two years experience working with hot processes in glass, bronze and / or ceramics.
· Excellent communications skills. · Good computer skills.

Fermanagh District Council Seeks Head of Arts and Culture

The postholder will provide strategic direction to, and financial management of, the Council's Arts delivery, including the Ardhowen Theatre, theCountyMuseum, the Higher Bridges Gallery and Arts development/promotion.

To ensure that the Arts within the Fermanagh and the Council's arts facilities are fully utilised as a cultural and economic resource.

To establish and implement Arts Strategies forCountyFermanagh.

To develop Arts Projects (both revenue and capital), to source external funding for these Projects and to ensure their successful delivery.

Qualifications and Experience:


1. Degree or equivalent qualification in either Arts, Culture or a Management discipline.

2. At least two years experience at a supervisory/management level with evidence of competence in:-

* Delivery of high quality services to the public, including marketing, implementing and evaluating proposals * Financial management including the implementation of budgets and budgetary control * Management of employees to ensure effective performance * Strategic leadership and planning * Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to maximise the use of I.T. to enhance the service

The criteria may be enhanced to facilitate shortlisting.

Salary: £34,549 – £37,206 p.a.

Dublin City Council Arts Office is currently seeking interns for 2012. The internships are designed to extend interns knowledge and understanding of how a Local Authority Arts Office works. Duties may include assisting in programming, PR & marketing updating databases, updating websites, archiving, and general administrative support for the arts office programmes which include:

• Bealtaine Festival (May) and arts programme for older people
• The Northside Music Festival (August)
• Opera in the Open series (August)
• Neighbourhood Arts Programmes

Art Tutors Required for New Art School

The Art Hand is a new rural art school based on theWaterfordcoast. We are currently developing challenging art courses with artists and tutors who work in a wide range of disciplines.

The courses are residential; participants will stay at houses nearby. Tutors can stay with us at The Art Hand and food is provided. Most of the intensive courses will run for between 3 and 5 days.

JobBridge Internship at VAI: Information & Communications Assistant

The intern will gain practical experience in web content management and e-newsletter production for the visual art sector inIreland; gain skills in information dissemination involving content editing, proofing and compilation. The intern will receive formal/informal training in  WordPress and information management – support will be provided for the duration of the internship. On completion the intern will have attained skills in website administration and newsletter preparation as well as an excellent insight into the contemporary visual arts sector inIreland.

Skills Requirements
The intern will be responsible for researching and compiling current information on the visual art sector throughoutIreland andNorthern Ireland and be responsible for editing, proofing and uploading copy and images. The internship will appeal to arts or media graduates or those with arts management / web media career interests. A person who is thorough, methodical and attentive to detail will gain from this opportunity.

Third Level – The ideal candidate will be a visual art / arts management / media graduate who would like to gain hands on experience in a professional arts environment and develop their administrative and web management skills and knowledge.
