Crafts Council of Ireland Internship Opportunity

The Crafts Council of Ireland are currently looking for interns for 2011 the Year of Craft. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone wanting to pursue a career in the craft industry and to get valuable experience in a dynamic and growing national organisation. The Crafts Council of Ireland offers internship opportunities for qualified graduate students of craft, design, cultural management, heritage or art history. Interns are highly valued members of our team and are offered the opportunity to learn and develop existing skills in a busy, challenging and fun environment.

The internship with the CCoI Education Department start in February 2011 and will be based in the National Craft Gallery. Work will revolve around daily operations, workshop facilitation, exhibition interpretation and management of events and education programmes.

Requirements include:
• Availability for a minimum of 8 weeks
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
• Mac proficiency
• Ability to multi-task
• Be a team player
• Knowledge of the Craft sector• Interest in education

The deadline for receipt of applications is Friday February 4th. An honorarium will be awarded for the duration of the internship.

Arts and Health Coordinators Ireland (AHCI) wishes to engage the services of an ‘Artist Liaison’, to develop, lead and coordinate Dialogue Arts + Health – an exciting, regionally based artists’ peer learning initiative in the field of Arts & Health. This project will take place during 2011. Applications are invited from persons with experience of coordinating art projects and/or curatorial practice in healthcare contexts and/or other relevant experience.

Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru, a Welsh language theatre company are seeking an Artistic Director. 

The successful candidate will be an experienced director/practitioner that will welcome the opportunity to create a new vision and direction for the company in the future.

The post is based at Y Llwyfan, Carmarthen and is a five-year appointment. The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post.

The salary will be up to £52,000 pa (full time) depending on experience.

Make your organisation a part of a new European cultural network and build long-term cooperation with a partner organisation from Ukraine or the Republic of Moldova during a one-year collaborative effort! The project will be launched by study trips to both countries for which employees of cultural institutions may apply.
