ONSIGHT @ National Museum of Ireland - Country Life

Onsight 2013 - Family art workshops

“Onsight” is a collaborative project between the National Museum of Ireland – Country Life, Mayo Artsquad and Mayo County Council Arts Office.

You are invited to join various artists in creating a series of site-specific works in the Museum grounds. These drop-in workshops are taking place over a number of weeks during July and August 2013 and are suitable for all the family to enjoy.

‘Our Hurling Heritage’ is the theme, and like so much of the Irish Folklife Collection on display in the Museum Galleries, the artists will predominantly use natural resources in their works. This project is a prelude to the Museum’s ancient Hair Hurling Ball exhibition, which opens this September.

Participants can join the events as they take place. No booking required, but spaces might be limited. Admission free.
