Located in Cobh, County Cork, Ireland, it was founded in 1988 and is funded primarily by the Arts Council of Ireland and Cork County Council along with significant private supporters. It has developed an international reputation for the standard of it’s arts programming, particularly in the field of contemporary photography. Sirius Arts Centre is now recruiting for the lead position of Artistic Director - CEO to continue and develop it’s dynamic arts programme.
The successful candidate will be responsible, in conjunction with the curatorial committee of the Sirius Board, for identifying and implementing five year cycles of Arts programming; along with overseeing the administration of the organisation, including financial operations and management of the staff and premises. Sirius Arts Centre is seeking an experienced artistic professional with a background in curatorial arts, with experience of working with a range of stakeholders including artists, art organisations, public bodies, and the wider public. Experience of fundraising is essential.

OPW: Call for Panel of Art/Fine Art Conservators, Art Framers and Art Handlers
The Office of Public Works (OPW) is responsible for the management of the State art collection, which now comprises over 15,000 works by over 1,500 artists, installed in State buildings throughout Ireland. The collection is diverse and composed mainly of framed paintings spanning from the 17th Century to the present day. In addition, there are works on paper (including individual drawings, watercolours, prints and photographs). The collection also comprises of fine-art pieces and decorative works composed of metal, glass, ceramic, wood, etc. together with historical objects made from a variety of materials. The transportation and installation of this collection is a core concern for the Office of Public Works. The Art Management office of the OPW wishes to appoint a panel of suitably qualified specialist art handling / art transport companies to support this important aim. The National Procurement Service of the OPW will appoint three panels of suitably qualified Art/Fine Art Conservators, Art Framers and Art Handlers.

Tours Manager
The Philharmonia Orchestra is seeking a Tours Manager to administer the Orchestra’s international touring programme, and to accompany the Orchestra on overseas tours. We are looking for a dedicated arts professional with a minimum of two years’ previous experience of orchestral touring in the classical music field. Willingness to work unsocial hours, including evenings and weekends, is essential.
Salary: circa £25,000 per annum

As we embark on a new strategy for Collegiate Music, you will support a thriving programme of activities, including staff-led ensembles offering concerts throughout the year, professional lunchtime concerts, and student or alumni concerts. You will plan, organise, convene, administer and manage collegiate music events in liaison with ensemble leaders and the head of department.
We’ll look to you to create collegiate music plans, manage budgets, oversee instrument maintenance, and develop long-term project plans including for trips abroad. It’s an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a vibrant and supportive environment.
The Person
Organised, efficient, dedicated and enthusiastic with an excellent understanding of the performance arts, you will bring experience of booking venues, liaising with professional musicians, and managing financial resources using financial systems. Knowledge of Microsoft Office systems including Excel and Publisher will also be essential. Willing to work occasional longer days, evenings and weekends and travel to venues, particularly during concert times, you will have an understanding of musical performance and concert set-up. A degree in music or performance arts would be highly desirable. The ability to motivate staff and students will be essential.
