Puddletown – Album Launch

Welcome to Puddletown, where even the drowning get left high and dry. A collection of original songs composed by Mayo-based songwriter Tom Hughes, Puddletown is presented and interpreted by John Hoban, Teresa Burke and friends. John, an established singer/songwriter, brings his master musicianship to this album. Together with the remarkably true voice of Teresa Burke, they give life to a place we all know well. And not at all. Puddletown is submerged beneath the ghost of what might have been, the near miss, the slow defeat, the holy ground deep in no man’s land, the twilight acres on the edge of madness. Join with John, Teresa and friends to hear the haunted songs, the fading whispers of the dead still breathing life into the gathered embers, the candle kept lit, the cave walls daubed with the signs of magic in Bulger’s car park, by Lough Lannagh, in a puddle on Stabal Hill, the stars reflected, shedding the dust of galaxies and skin….
