126 is delighted to announce an open call to all graduates who wish to participate in the 2015 Internship programme.
Three interns will be selected for a six month internship running from July 2015 to January 2016. The interns will be mentored by the board members and will gain experience in all aspects of running the gallery including: fundraising, curation, marketing, archiving, web design and arts administration. The internship culminates in a project, exhibition or event to be developed and curated by the interns under the mentorship of the 126 board and to take place in the Flood St. gallery in December.
Please include a CV and images of recent work (max. 10) and a letter of interest (max 350 words), which should include your expectations for the project in one Pdf document.

The deadline for applications is June 24th 2015.  Successful candidates will be notified by Monday 29th of June and the internship will begin Monday 13th July. The first month of the programme is an induction period to allow the interns to settle into the gallery and into Galway. However the Galway International Arts Festival runs from the 13th – 26th July and gives a good opportunity to immediately become involved in the work of the gallery.
Please note that internship at 126 is not a prerequisite for becoming a board member. Applications to become board members from all artists, including recent graduates, are welcomed throughout the year.

Arts Worker at Mayfield Arts Centre

Mayfield Arts Centre, Newbury House is a unique dedicated arts space based in the heart of Mayfield at Newbury House Family Centre. Mayfield Arts develops, manages and delivers arts programmes in consultation with the local community and according to funding received.

We are seeking to recruit a part-time Arts worker, reporting to the manager of Mayfield Arts.


  • To support Cúig studio artists (Five artists in residence with learning disabilities) in their creative development through one on one tutoring
  • To support Cúig artists in planning and engaging with the public through studio visits, participative projects, workshops and presentations.
  • To manage small budgets and oversee arts projects including programmes with local school and youth groups
  • To facilitate groups of all abilities in creative processes
  • Co-facilitate creative training and team building events
  • Any other duties relevant to the post

Person Specification:

  • Highly motivated, Arts background, Good interpersonal skills, a working knowledge of IT Design packages, capable of working as part of a team in a busy environment, Flexibility


Two years experience working in an arts related environment

Conditions of employment :

Hours of week: 19.5 hours per week.

Dance Theatre of Ireland is a professional contemporary dance theatre production company based in a purpose built Centre for Dance in Dún Laoghaire, with extensive educational and community Outreach programs in dance, working locally, nationally and internationally.
This is a multifaceted, full-time position that supports all aspects of the Company’s work, including the Centre for Dance's programme of classes, Educational Outreach, Productions and Touring. Experience in Marketing, and Social Media, PR, Payroll & Book keeping; fluency in Excel, Word, Publisher and Mail Chimp necessary. Digital Photo & Video editing is a plus as is knowledge of Quickbooks.  Excellent keyboard and numeracy skills are essential.
Responsibilities include creating and delivering e-marketing and social media campaigns, database management, website updates, and creating in-house flyers, as well as PR / media contact to promote the activities of the Company.  Financial responsibilities include book keeping, bank reconciliations, budgeting, day-to-day accounts, and production research. Minimum 3-5 years experience.

Source Magazine seeks Part-time Office Administrator / Audience Development Officer

Source Magazine wishes to appoint a Part time Office Administrator/Audience Development Officer. This is a part time post, 20hrs per week fee £10,050.

Contract Length 12 months (we hope to extend funding permitting)

The Role – The person will be based in Belfast and will be responsible for general administration related to sales and distribution of the printed and digital editions of Source, to include maintenance and analysis of audience databases. They will work on editorial research producing content for Source Social media outlets and monthly e-newsletter. And it is anticipated that a suitable candidate will also take part in editorial discussions. They will support the work of the editors in compiling funding reports and applications as related to audiences. They will work on Source marketing plans and contribute to new audience development initiatives.
