Paul Soye - The Boy in the Gap
Westport author and award-winning dramatist Paul Soye launches his compelling debut novel The Boy in the Gap. Examining the background to a terrible local crime, the book has been hailed as a striking debut novel, described as “reminiscent of Pat McCabe in its dark humour and McGahern in its detailed evocation of small town dynamics.” Paul Soye is the author of two full-length plays, Cherished and the 1996 Esso New Irish Play Award-winning The Birdcage. In 2002 he was short-listed for the BBC's Tony Doyle Award. Paul has also written a one-act play for young children and his play In Irons was broadcast on RTE Radio 1's Sunday Night Playhouse. The Boy in the Gap is published by Gill & Macmillan. Come along and celebrate Paul’s latest literary success.
