Music Network Performance and Touring Award

With funding from the Arts Council, the Performance and Touring Award was developed by Music Network, the national music development organisation, to assist Irish and Ireland-based musicians in realising performance opportunities.  Next closing dates for applications is Monday 13th June, 5pm, 2011. The scheme is open to musicians and ensembles of all genres that are of Irish nationality or resident in Ireland.

 European Cultural Foundation – Collaboration Grants

Deadline: 1st March 2011

The European Cultural Foundation's current round of Collaboration Grants has now opened. The Foundation has long facilitated people working collaboratively across Europe, and their grants are designed to support projects that bring a renewed understanding of Europe to people of all backgrounds. Collaboration Grants are for transnational, cross-sectoral activities by independent cultural and artistic organisations working together or with organisations from other sectors.  Wellcome Trust Arts Awards: Next Deadlines deadline: 29 April 2011

The Wellcome Trust Arts Awards support imaginative and experimental arts projects that investigate biomedical science. All art forms are covered by the programme - dance, drama, performance arts, visual arts, music, film, craft, photography, creative writing or digital media - and the Trust invites applications for projects which engage adult audiences and / or young people. Applicants are usually affiliated to organisations, but can apply as individuals. Organisations might include: museums and other cultural attractions; arts agencies; production companies; arts venues; broadcast media; schools; local education authorities; universities and colleges; youth clubs; community groups; research institutes; the NHS; and science centres. There are Small Awards (up to and including £30,000) and Large awards (over £30,000). Filmbase/RTE Short Film Awards 2011

We're delighted to announce the deadline for the first round of the Filmbase/RTÉ Short Film Awards 2011! 

The deadline for the first round of the award has been confirmed for the last Friday in March; all applications must be at Filmbase by 5pm on Friday 25th of March.  The award includes €10,000 cash towards the selected production and a matching level of production equipment and editing facilities supplied by Filmbase. Up to four awards will be made through this scheme in 2011 with the first round in March and a second round later in the year.   

The awards are the longest running funding scheme for short films in Ireland and have funded over 100 short films in that time.  More information on the scheme, including the guidelines and application form, can be found at www.filmbase.ie/awards.  All applicants for the award must be current members of Filmbase.

Filmbase is a not-for-profit resource centre for filmmakers. Our building on Curved Street, in the heart of Dublin's Temple Bar, is a public space where filmmakers can network, hire filmmaking equipment, take training courses and receive support and information about working within the Irish film industry. Filmbase also publishes the cultural magazine Film Ireland and administers a number of film and documentary production award schemes.
