LOCAL ARTS: trad/folk/contemporary VOCAL
Thursday 28th June @ 8.00pm
Elaine Madden
Castlebar-born singer Elaine Madden returns to the Linenhall in June to explore the evolution of the Irish love song. Although interested in many genres, her love of Irish grown music has inspired her to take a closer look at the Irish penchant for the Amhrán Grá. Accompanying her will be fellow vocalist and guitarist Barry Jennings, who, having found success with local band Social Welfare, will be showcasing his talents as a soloist and as part of the duet. With influences ranging from Led Zeppelin to Michael Jackson, he is as eclectic as he is talented. His rich tenor voice is a perfect match for Elaine's vocals and this combination promises to make this a night not to be missed.
