Longford County Council wishes to commission a public art sculptural feature as part of the N5 By-pass capital project. Churches Trust Heritage Trail 2013: Public Art Commission
The Churches’ Trust is calling for expressions of Interest (Tender Ref: Heritage Trail 2013) for a Christian Heritage Trail incorporating public art and interpretative signage from experienced and suitably qualified artists or design teams. The Trail will link the site of St Brecan’s Monastery at St Columb’s Park in the Waterside with the site of St Colmcille’s 6th century Monastery within the city walls where the Church of Ireland Church of St Augustine’s now stands. At the time of advertisement, the total budget available for the Trail is £250,000. The deadline for receipt of Expressions of Interest is 2pm Friday 18th May 2012. Hacketstown National School Per Cent for Art Commission
Hacketstown National School wishes to commission a work or works of art for the school. This commission is the result of an extension and refurbishment project and is funded under the Per Cent for Art scheme. The budget for the design supply and fix of the completed work will be €15,842 inclusive of all costs, expenses, V.A.T, insurance and other costs. St Patricks College Per Cent for Art Commission
St Patricks College, Cavan, in association with the Department of Education and Skills, wishes to commission an Art Work to be sited within the Central Courtyard of the NewSchoolBuilding. This project is to be funded under the Per Cent for Art Scheme operated by the Department of Education and Skills. Submissions are invited for a visual Art Work which should be substantial and durable. The preferred scheme will be innovative and original while maintaining the highest levels of artistic excellence. The chosen Art Work should have lasting significance and may also interact, possibly interactive and develop with the activities of the school.
