DRAFT CASUAL TRADING BYE-LAWS 2019

 

Following a review of the Mayo County Council, Municipal District of Castlebar Casual Trading Bye-Laws (2008), Draft Casual Trading Bye-Laws 2019 for Castlebar Municipal District have been created.

Notice is hereby given that in accordance with Section 6 of the Casual Trading Act 1995, a copy of these draft Bye-Laws is available for inspection at the Public Counter at the Castlebar Municipal District Offices, Mayo County Council, Arás an Chontae, The Mall, Castlebar, Co. Mayo from Tuesday 3rd December 2019 to Tuesday 14th January 2020 (both days inclusive) during normal office hours Monday to Friday or you can view the document on the Mayo County Council’s website, www.mayococo.ie   

Submissions in relation to the proposed revised Bye-Laws may be made in writing to the Head of Castlebar Municipal District, , Mayo County Council, Arás an Chontae, The Mall, Castlebar, Co. Mayo or by email to joawalsh@mayococo.ie  not later than 5.00 p.m. on Tuesday 28th January 2020.  Such submissions received will be taken into consideration before the making of the Bye-Laws by Mayo County Council, Municipal District of Castlebar.

Items Required For Farmers Market & Casual Trading Licence

1. Completed Application Form: Farmers Market/Casual Trading/Special Events

2. Current Certificate of Public Liability Insurance €6.4m

    Food sellers are required to have Product Liability Insurance to the sum of €6.4m

3. Appropriate Fee:

    Farmers Market 

    €500 12 months

    €250   6 months

    €125   3 months

    Casual Trading   - €952  12 months 

    Special Events   - €30     per day
