Draft Climate Adaptation Strategy 2019-2024

Notice is hereby given, that Mayo County Council has prepared a

Draft Climate Adaptation Strategy 2019‐2024.

 

The Draft Climate Adaptation Strategy sets out how Mayo County Council will lead the journey to a Climate Ready Mayo and work to reduce our exposure to climate risks and capture new opportunities. The Draft Strategy includes a range of actions across four operational themes; Critical Infrastructure & Buildings, Natural & Cultural Capital, Water Resources & Flood Management and Community Services.

The Mayo County Council Draft Climate Adaption Strategy, the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Screening Report and Appropriate Assessment (AA) Screening Report are available for inspection during normal office opening hours at the locations below from Wednesday 22nd May 2019 to 3rd July 2019 inclusive, between the hours of 9:30am to 4.30 pm:

Submissions

Written observations or submissions regarding the Mayo Climate Adaptation Strategy 2019‐2024, Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Screening Report and Appropriate Assessment (AA) Screening Report are invited from members of the public and other interested parties.

Submissions or observations will be accepted from Wednesday 22nd May 2019 to Wednesday 3rd of July 2019 inclusive.

The closing date for receipt of submissions is 4.30pm Wednesday 3rd of July 2019.

Submissions or observations should state your name, address and where relevant, the organisation, body etc. represented. Please make your submission by one medium only, i.e. post / hard copy or email.

All submissions or observations received during the above time period will be taken into consideration before the making of the Climate Adaptation Strategy 2019‐2024. Please note that submission may be published and will be subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information Acts and GDPR.
