Refuse Collection Service in Mayo
Refuse collection service in Mayo is provided by a number of private waste companies. Generally it operates as a two bin system whereby you will be provided with a bin for your recyclable waste and a bin for your landfill waste. In some areas a third bin for organic (food and garden) waste will also be provided. Please ensure that your service provider gives you the information you need to use the bin system correctly and read all information carefully so you know what materials to put in each bin. If in doubt contact your service provider. Please note that any items of hazardous waste such as old medicines, paint, batteries, electrical waste, pesticides and herbicides should not be placed in your bin system.

Please maintain all receipts relating to waste collection as these may be requested by Mayo County Council, Environment Enforcement Officers. Please note that the list of collectors may be subject to change.
