Audit of Natural Heritage Datasets
Mayo County Council, with the support of the Heritage Council, contracted White Young Green in 2007 to carry out an audit of biological meta-datasets pertaining to county Mayo. The objective of this study is to collect information on Natural Heritage datasets for Co. Mayo, listing sources and locations of relevant Natural Heritage data for the county; identifying gaps in biological knowledge and making recommendations for future work. In this context, Natural Heritage is defined as including but not limited to flora, fauna and habitats. Work on this audit is ongoing.
