Question: Who does the Affordable Housing Scheme apply to?
Answer:
The Affordable Housing Scheme provides for the building for new houses in areas where house prices have created an affordability gap for lower income house purchasers. The houses will be offered for sale to eligible first time purchasers at cost price, and, accordingly, at a significant discount from the market value of comparable houses in the area.

Question: What are the options for Homeless People?
Answer:
Local authorities have a wide range of powers to secure accommodation for homelesss people. In addition to the direct provision of housing, local authorities can make arrangements with voluntary organisations to make accommodation available for homeless people, provide financial or other assistance to homeless people and, if necessary, arrange private accommodation.
