Changes to the requirements for first licensing of Heavy Goods Trailers

From 29th October 2012, there are new rules coming into effect in relation to the first licensing with Mayo County Council of heavy goods trailers.

A heavy goods trailer is a trailer with a Gross Vehicle Design Weight in excess of 3,500kg. Type approval certification  is required for certain categories of trailers

All of the relevant forms are listed below:

  • TF100 (PDF, 1581 KB) – used for the registration and licensing of trailers/semi-trailers.
  • TF200 (PDF, 1003 KB) – used to register change of ownership.
  • T300A (PDF, 50 KB) – Weight identification certificate for a type approved/imported trailer.
  • TF300B (PDF, 54 KB) - Weight identification certificate for a trailer outside of the scope of type approval.
