Opportunities to Speak Irish

There is a wealth of opportunities for people to practise and use whatever Irish they may have with  Irish language and cultural events held throughout the county, throughout the year, from conversations groups to music sessions to guided walks to film screenings, summer camps for children, Gaeltacht courses for adults.

Oifig na Gaeilge organise a series of monthly ‘Irish Lunches’ around the county. These lunches are a wonderful opportunity for Irish speakers, those learning the language, and to those who only rarely use Irish, to come and use their ‘cúpla focal’ in an informal, relaxed atmosphere.
