Géaga na Gaeltachta

Géaga na Gaeltachta is a new group aimed at young people, over the age of 18, its aim is to provide a social space for young people who speak Irish, whatever their ability.

Géaga na Gaeltachta is kicking off with a weekend full of activities, craic and ceol in Coláiste Acla, Achill, from the 18th to the 19th of October. The event will cost €50 per person; accommodation, meals and activites with Coláiste Acla all included.

It is an excellent opportunity for the young Gaeilgeoirí of Mayo to meet people of a similar age, with the same interest in the Irish language. Géaga hopes to set up three big events will be held in Tuar Mhic Éadaigh, Acaill and Iorras catering for young Irish speakers on an annual basis.

If you are  interested in taking part please email to register. You can also follow what Géaga is up to on facebook at .
