Notice for Dog Owners

Mayo County Council would like to remind dog owners that they can now licence or renew their dog licence online.The system requires a valid email address and valid debit/credit card. Log on to:

Cost of Licences

From the 1st January, 2012 dog licences cost:

Dog licence is €20.00.
These can be purchased from the local authority, online or at any post office.

Lifetime Dog licence (covering the lifetime of a dog) is €140.00
This licence can only be purchased from the local authority or online.

General licence (for multiple dogs) is €400.00
This licence can only be purchased from the local authority

Microchipping

Please provide microchip no. when applying for a licence.  Micro-chipping is a further way of identifying your dog and may assist in the retrieval of your dog should it get lost.
