Introduction
Park Smart Mayo is a public awareness initiative promoting the proper use of pedestrian footpaths and disabled parking spaces and highlighting the implications of obstructing these spaces. It was launched by the Cathaoirleach of Mayo County Council, Councillor John Cribbin, on 22nd September 2009. A dedicated webpage for this initiative has been established with information on proper parking, fines, and disabled parking locations.
