TO CONSIDER ENTERING INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH BALLINA TOWN COUNCIL, IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 85 OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT, 2001, IN RESPECT OF BALLINA MAIN DRAINAGE SCHEME - STAGE 2.

"That Mayo County Council enter into an Agreement with Ballina Town Council in accordance with Section 85 of the Local Government Act, 2001, in respect of Ballina Main Drainage Scheme - Stage 2."

    "I request Mayo County Council to introduce a thirty-mile an hour speed limit zone in the village of Knockmore. At present, there is great concern regarding the speed of traffic going through the village."

  3. "Calling on Mayo County Council to take over the remaining stretch of road which leads into Ballycurrin given that this road has been recently upgraded by an L.I.S. Scheme."
  4. Report from Mr. R. Norton, Senior Engineer, dated 11th February, 2002, as circulated, was accepted by the Council.

  5. "To ask Mayo County Council to remove the hill on the Ballinrobe - Kilmaine N84 just after the entrance to Cahernablatha Village given the increased number of vehicles that now leave this Village."
  6. Report from Mr. R. Norton, Senior Engineer, dated 11th February, 2002, as circulated, was accepted by the Council.

    "I request Mayo County Council to take over link road between LS113 and LT1493. It would be a great advantage to the village of Slievenagark, Ballina."

  9. "To hear an up to date Report on the provision of a Sewerage Scheme for the Town of Belmullet and its environs. Also to state the reasons why this Scheme was not included on the Priority List forwarded to the Department of the Environment, having regard to the population and pollution which exists in the area."

    "That Mayo County Council call upon the Minister for the Environment and Local Government to de-list An Taisce as one of the Statutory notifiable Agencies of the present County Development Plan."

    The Motion, as amended, was adopted.

    "That the Mayo County Manager, in view of the heavy rainfall of November, 2001, its affect on properties at The Oaks, Castlebar, investigate the possibility of building a retaining wall between The Oaks Housing Estate and the new Council Development on the old Turlough Road, Castlebar."

"That the Mayo County Manager gives the up to date position in relation to Castlebar Swimming Pool."

A discussion took place regarding the need for the provision of a Rest Home for the Elderly in Ballinrobe.
