"That Notice of Motion (a) as listed on the Agenda, be now dealt with".

(a) "Calling on Mayo County Council to immediately withdraw the

permit granted to Glancre Teoranta for production at its plant at

Muingmore, Geesala, for failing to adhere to the conditions of this

permit and completely ignoring An Bord Pleanala decision".

A lengthy discussion took place on the Glancre Teoranta issue during which a number of Councillors voiced strong views in favour of closing this Plant.

Mr. R. Norton, Dir. of Services, replied to queries raised by the Members.

The County Manager stated that if urgent action is needed in this situation, it will be taken. He also said that a Report on the matter would be placed before the Members for the September Meeting of the Council.

position in relation to Mayo County Council’s Waste Management

Plan".
