MINUTES OF MAYO COUNTY COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON MONDAY, 13th JANUARY, 2003, AT 4.00 p.m.

The Leas Chathaoirleach, Cllr. M. Burke, was in the Chair.

Resolved:-

“That the sympathy of the Council be extended to the Cathaoirleach, Councillor Tim Quinn and his family on the sudden death of his Wife,

Patricia, and that the Meeting be adjourned as a mark of respect to Monday, 20th January, 2003, at 5.00 p.m.”.

 

A number of Councillors paid tribute to the late Patricia Quinn and extended their sympathy to the Cathaoirleach and his family on their sad loss.

 

The County Manager, on his own behalf and on behalf of the Staff, extended his sympathy to the Cathaoirleach and his family.

 

It was agreed to deal with Item No. 3, as listed on the Agenda, at this stage.

TO CONSIDER REPORT DATED 5th DECEMBER, 2002, IN ACCORDANCE WITH PART 8 OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT (PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT) REGULATIONS, 2001, AND THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT, 2001, IN RESPECT OF HOUSING DEVELOPMENTS AT SHRAIGH EAST, BUNNAHOWEN, BALLINA;  CORNBOY, CARRATIGUE, BALLINA;

DERRYNAMEEL, BARNATRA, BALLINA AND ARDS, CURRANE, ACHILL.

Resolved:-

“That we hereby adopt Report dated 5th December, 2002, in accordance with Part 8 of the Local Government (Planning and Development) Regulations, 2001, and the Local Government Act, 2001, in respect of Housing Developments at Shraigh East, Bunnahowen, Ballina;  Cornboy, Carratigue, Ballina;  Derrynameel, Barnatra, Ballina and Ards, Currane, Achill”.
