MINUTES OF MAYO COUNTY COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON MONDAY, 9th JUNE, 2003, AT 4.00 p.m.

"That the sympathy of the Council be extended to Mrs. Mary Kilbane & family, Owenduff, Mulranny P.O., Westport, on the death of her Husband, Josie, who was a Member of the Mayo County Development Board".

ITEM NO. 1.

TO CONSIDER LIST OF PLANNING APPLICATIONS DATED 3rd JUNE, 2003.

 

1. Anthony K. Togher – Application for Planning Permission to

construct 4 No. dwellinghouses and septic tanks with proprietary

treatment units at Barnagh, Drum, Binghamstown.

The Council were informed of the up to date position on this

Planning application.

2. Eamon McGreal – Application for Planning Permission to construct

site development works, including provision of roads, footpaths,

water supply, surface water drainage & Outline Permission to erect

15 No. dwellings, each with septic tank system incorporating prop-

rietary effluent treatment units at Carrownurlaur, Breaffy.

The Council were informed of the up to date position on this

Planning application.

struct 2 No. dwellinghouses at Robeenard, Hollymount.

The Council were informed of the up to date position on this

Planning application.

4. Tom Meehan – Application for Planning Permission to construct

dwellinghouse, proprietary effluent treatment system and percola-

tion area at Roosky (ED Cloonmore), Doocastle.

The Council were informed of the up to date position on this

Planning application.

5. Alice Gavin – Application for Planning Permission to construct

dwellinghouse and septic tank at Srahrevagh, Louisburgh.

The Council were informed of the up to date position on this

Planning application.

6. Kathleen & John Tunney – Applciation for Outline Planning

Permission to construct dwellinghouse and septic tank at Cross,

Killadoon, Louisburgh.

The Council were informed of the up to date position on this

Planning application.

7. John Staunton – Application for Planning Permission to construct

a canopy over existing petrol pump at Knappaghmore, Westport.

The Council were informed of the up to date position on this

Planning application.

ITEM NO. 2.

TO APPROVE OF OVERDRAFT ACCOMMODATION OF €25m. FOR HALF-YEAR ENDING 31st DECEMBER, 2003.

TO CONSIDER REPORT DATED 23rd MAY, 2003, IN ACCORDANCE WITH PART 8 OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT (PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT) REGULATIONS, 2001, AND THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT, 2001, IN RESPECT OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF 1 NO. RURAL HOUSE AT RATHESKIN, KINCON, BALLINA.

TO CONSIDER LETTER DATED 10th APRIL, 2003, RECEIVED FROM MR. GEORGE YEO, MINISTER FOR TRADE AND INDUSTRY, SINGAPORE.

ITEM NO. 9.

TO CONSIDER NOMINATING REPRESENTATIVES TO ATTEND BYRNE /

PERRY SUMMER SCHOOL – "CULTURE IN REVIVAL : THE IRISH EXPERIENCE" – TO BE HELD IN THE CHRISTIAN BROTHERS SCHOOL, GOREY, CO. WEXFORD, FROM 27th TO 29th JUNE, 2003.

The Council were informed of the estimated cost of sending a Delegate to this Conference.

ITEM NO. 10.

TO CONSIDER NOMINATING REPRESENTATIVES TO ATTEND JOHN HEWITT INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL – "THE SURE ACRE? TRADITION AND UNCERTAINTY IN IRELAND" – TO BE HELD IN THE MARKET PLACE THEATRE, ARMAGH, FROM 21st TO 26th JULY, 2003.

The Council were informed of the estimated cost of sending a Delegate to this Conference.

Association of Local Democracy Agencies Conference – Carlow – 12th and 13th June, 2003.
